Internet of Things
EU seeks to capture the value of the Internet of Things
- Major cloud-service providers will have to put in place safeguards to prevent non-EU governments' unlawful access to EU data, according to the European Commission's new data-sharing rules.
- The EU's Data Act, published on Wednesday sets obligations for data-sharing, in a bid to compete with other major companies in the revolution of the Internet of Things.
- Non-personal data cannot be used to identify or trace an individual.

- Cisco has released security updates to address vulnerabilities in multiple Cisco products. An attacker could exploit one of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected system.
- The United Kingdom’s National Cyber Security Centre, CISA, the National Security Agency, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have released a joint Cybersecurity Advisory (CSA) reporting that the malicious cyber actor known as Sandworm or Voodoo Bear is using new malware, referred to as Cyclops Blink.
- CISA has added two new vulnerabilities to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog.
- CISA has released CISA Insights: Preparing for and Mitigating Foreign Influence Operations Targeting Critical Infrastructure, which provides proactive steps organizations can take to assess and mitigate risks from information manipulation.
